Summer Water Fun

Better late then never! Right, my friends? Here are just a couple of the fun water adventures we had this past summer. Tag loved sprinkler type water toys so he was easy to please if I just let him run like a wild man in the back yard.

This was our first water party of the summer.
I wasn't sure how daring he would be, but as you can see,
he did not shy away from getting soaked!

Tag's big boy cousin, Isaac. Boy, does he love this kid. He follows him around non-stop when they're together, Isaac is so patient with him.

Aren't they cute? This was also his first popsicle. No problems there, either.

Miss Ivy is Tag's arch enemy now. I think they got along ok there, but now these two fight over just about everything. They're are a pretty good match, so we usually don't stop it...just watch and laugh.
Oh, look at his thin hair!
I can't believe how much he grew in just a few months.

These are at a water park in South Ogden.
Our favorite summer spot!

I love you summer of 09 Tag boy!

Tag's lady friend

Cute Tag boy hangs out with girls non-stop. In fact, he has 7 girl cousins, and only 2 boy cousins, Isaac who is 7, and Kaleb who is 4 months. You see the problem? On top of that, there are a load of adorable little girls in our ward. Two of which live on our lane. There's an ongoing battle of which will get his attention. I'm sorry Addie bug, but I'm afraid Mia has been pretty aggresive lately.

Wanna ride?

He has no idea what's coming. She is so coy.

Tag goes to nursery...tear.

My boy turned 18 months on Wednesday the 12th. We spent the evening watching home videos since the day he was born. It's hard to believe he is this old. It's like you don't notice them growing each day, but then look at a picture just a month prior and they're bigger! He was such a cute, smiley, baby. What a great blessing to have him in our family.

Sweet Success!!
Today, Tag went to nursery all by himself! The last couple of weeks I've been going in with him to help get him familiar. I didn't know how great he'd do because he has been acting a bit shy in there, but today he didn't even care when I told him I was leaving. It was so nice to go to class and sit by my sweetie in Sunday school. Of course, we took turns peeking in at him. Now I understand why parents do that so often. It is so wonderful to see your child growing and experiencing things independently. When I looked in, he was sitting there chowing on some snacks like he didn't have a care in the world.

P.S. He also had his first bloody nose last night. He face planted on the cement at a park, scratching his nose, lip, and bruising his forehead, along with the blood draining out of his nose. Poor little fella. He was strong though and only cried for a sec. Luckily, he's not old enough to understand what the blood is and freak out just for the sake of seeing it!

Indian Trail and We Heart the Air Force!!

I'm just coming across pics I have from this summer that I have not documented on the blog yet. These are from Saturday June 6th.

We started out with a morning hike up the Indian Trail (near Ogden Canyon).

It was such a great day, just a tad breezy and look at those amazing clouds!

Oh my gosh, he is so cute!! This boy has me so love struck!

I am always so in awe of the beauty right in my back yard. That is the Ogden Canyon right behind us. I love living so close to the mountains.

Later that afternoon, we headed to Northridge High School to watch the Air Force show.
I think this is the day Tag's obsession with planes began. Now, adorably, he points them out for us any time he hears or sees one.

I love this picture. I wish you couuld see Tag in Jon's arms.
Oh, I love our country. The jets were so loud and rumbled the ground as they flew overhead and it made me tear up in pride. We are so blessed to be protected by brave men and women.

4th of July

It was such a fun 4th this year. This just happens to be Jon's favorite holiday. We started our morning with a breakfast at the church house, then to the Clearfield parade, home for a nice long nap, out to my mom's for swimming and bbq, and then on to the Clearfield fireworks.

Our little Yankee Doodle waving his flag.

Patriotic Oreos

Trying to line the kids up for a pic at the fireworks.
Mine was the only not cooperating.

Wrestlin with cousin Isaac.

Tag ended up watching some of the fireworks snuggled right up to cousin Jayde.
What's more American than Yankee's hats?
Tag covered his face at the beginning of the fireworks.
It took him a minute, but he got used to the loud bangs.

Happy 25th Birthday Sweets!

Lucky summer birthdays! There are so many fun things to do! Jon wanted to go boating with his family. We went to Willard and a had a lovely day. Tag had a literal freak out in the boat and would not wear a life jacket, so let's just say he's not an avid boater yet, but he had fun playing on the beach and throwing rocks into the water.

Later that night, Kristi kept Tag while we went out to dinner and to pick out Yankee's hats (Jon's gift). He also got a sweet Yankee's jersey from his parents. When we got back we shot off some fireworks with the fam at the Bushes. Thanks for the good times family!

We Heart The Raptors!!

First game of the season for us and they won!! We went during Jon's Birthday week. I just love love love being in a baseball stadium! The first time I went to a game was when the Salt Lake Team was still The Buzz. My Dad had called into some sports talk show and had me sing "Take Me Out To The Ball Game" to win tickets. It was such a fun experience. Oh, and just a funny random memory of this...When he called in we were sitting in his old white truck outside of the old Winegar's in Clinton. Yes, that means we were on a cell phone. I was probably 11 and it was the first cell phone I had seen. It was one of those massive black bricks with a lengthy antenna. My Dad was the coolest man alive with his sleek cell phone:)

Look Amanda and Brock! Cool pic, huh?

He's actually not sweating. He was spraying himself in the face with a fan squirt bottle.

I have a feeling these two will see many more games together.

Grandma chased Tag around almost the entire time.

Tag was actually pretty interested in watching at times.

Awwww, nothing makes me happier!
We have a load of free general admission tickets if anyone ever wants to come with us! Give us a call!

Timpanogas Cave Hike...or Not.

I was so excited to hike Timp cave last month, but sadly, after the long drive we were told they had sold out of tickets. There had been a rock slide in the morning, so everyone had to wait until the afternoon and even with my begging they were not about to let us tour the cave, so we headed back down to Thanksgiving Point and took Tag to Farm Country. It was only $3.50 a person and Tag enjoyed harassing the animals. The highlight of the trip??? Jon pointing to a nearby cow and asking the farmer boy, "Did he just get milked?" The boy responded, "yes, she did." Bahh ha ha! It was good fun!

I hope this is the only time I see my boy behind bars:)

How lame! I didn't even take pictures of the real animals!!
Moral of the story....call and reserve your cave tickets!

Just the three of us...
