4th of July
It was such a fun 4th this year. This just happens to be Jon's favorite holiday. We started our morning with a breakfast at the church house, then to the Clearfield parade, home for a nice long nap, out to my mom's for swimming and bbq, and then on to the Clearfield fireworks.

Happy 25th Birthday Sweets!
Lucky summer birthdays! There are so many fun things to do! Jon wanted to go boating with his family. We went to Willard and a had a lovely day. Tag had a literal freak out in the boat and would not wear a life jacket, so let's just say he's not an avid boater yet, but he had fun playing on the beach and throwing rocks into the water.

We Heart The Raptors!!
First game of the season for us and they won!! We went during Jon's Birthday week. I just love love love being in a baseball stadium! The first time I went to a game was when the Salt Lake Team was still The Buzz. My Dad had called into some sports talk show and had me sing "Take Me Out To The Ball Game" to win tickets. It was such a fun experience. Oh, and just a funny random memory of this...When he called in we were sitting in his old white truck outside of the old Winegar's in Clinton. Yes, that means we were on a cell phone. I was probably 11 and it was the first cell phone I had seen. It was one of those massive black bricks with a lengthy antenna. My Dad was the coolest man alive with his sleek cell phone:)

Timpanogas Cave Hike...or Not.
I was so excited to hike Timp cave last month, but sadly, after the long drive we were told they had sold out of tickets. There had been a rock slide in the morning, so everyone had to wait until the afternoon and even with my begging they were not about to let us tour the cave, so we headed back down to Thanksgiving Point and took Tag to Farm Country. It was only $3.50 a person and Tag enjoyed harassing the animals. The highlight of the trip??? Jon pointing to a nearby cow and asking the farmer boy, "Did he just get milked?" The boy responded, "yes, she did." Bahh ha ha! It was good fun!

Three Years & We Share Milk.
Three years ago I never could have imagined being the one to initiate the sharing of milk, but I also didn't know how much more I could love the boy I chose to marry. To Love!
We celebrated with a little weekend trip to Little America in Salt Lake, which was also our first night away from Tag. He stayed with my mom and did great (minus the middle of the night freak out when I wasn't the one to get him. Don't feel the least bit bad, Mom, he doesn't even let Jon hold him in the night).
We met this nice man on the side of the Capitol Theatre. We took a walk after dinner at Olive Garden and he came out and talked with us. He is a Salt Lake County Sheriff, and was on duty there. They keep an officer there 24 hours a day. I told him it was our anniversary and he asked if we wanted to see something cool, and naturally I always trust a man in uniform, so he led us into the basement of the theatre. He gave us a tour of all the art on the walls for each show that comes through, and then took us up to the stage where we sang. So freakin sweet!
Me showing off my new princess cut earrings to match my ring. I actually ruined the surprise. Right when we got in the car to leave from home I opened the glove compartment to get a tissue for Tag, and there was the little box with a bow on it. I quickly shut it, but Jon had already seen. He told me just to open it then, but I insisted he wait and give it to me at dinner or the hotel. About 20 minutes later we pulled up to I-Hop for breakfast and I insisted that he give it to me in the parking lot before we go in. I'm no good with anticipation. Thanks Sweetie!
The quaint room...oh, and my new watch. I got blinged and accesorized!
Killer view from our balcony.

My Man The Graduate.
WARNING: This post is a total brag-fest. Read at your own discretion:)
Graduating from college while living with your parents as a typical college student is wonderful and amazing.
Graduating from college after you're married, working full time, and scraping by to survive is extra wonderful and amazing, but ...
Graduating from college after you're married, working full time +, holding big boy church callings, and being a father, is freaking wonderful, amazing, and a blasted miracle.
My man chose the third way to do it and he is freaking wonderful and amazing! Jon has not stopped working his brains out since the day he left for his mission. He returned home a few days into Spring semester 2006 and started right up. He got a job within 2 weeks of being home, and he proposed to me within 3 months. We got married 5 months after his return and we had little Tag about 21 months after that. All the while working full time and attending school full time, and up until about a year ago, he was working a second job picking up bodies for a mortuary (we cannot wait to share that story with the grandkids:).
So, he earned his Bachelor of Accounting and I am so so proud of him. He has really held it together and has worked hard to give Tag and I the time we need from him while balancing his work, calling, and school. The past 4 months or so he has been working for an accounting firm through the busy season....that means late nights and every Saturday. We missed him a ton, so I can only imagine how lost he felt rarely seeing us or being at home. We are thrilled for the summer and are going to take advantage of every minute together. Fingers crossed, and on to Grad school!!
Congratulations Babe! Tag and I are so proud of you and grateful for all your hard work, so we can hang out at home together all day!
