January 2012

Meeting Grandma Abel for lunch on Eli's birthday.

Eli is playing and moving so much these days.

Love this shot of his hair growth.  He has a giant tuff of
red curls on top, but the back hasn't quite caught up yet.

Darling birthday boy waking up on his special day.

Cute cake I helped cousin, Melissa, make for her
sister's twins' shower.

Playing trains with big brother.  Eli loves anything and everything
Taggart does.

Eli-O Turns ONE!

Sweet baby boy already one year old!  My Eli guy has brought us so much joy and laughter.  The boys adore each other and there are few greater things than to see the love between them.  I'm so thankful to be his mom and watch him grow.

Monday Mash Up.

Clearly, these boys of mine are pretty darn different looking. Tag with his dark hair and eyes, Eli with his red hue and blue eyes, but I still love to compare their pictures. Here they are both at 4 months...

Eli's eyes are rounder, and not that either of them sprouted hair like a chia pet, but I think Eli has Tag beat in that department.

Tag's eyes are a bit more almond shaped.

So handsome they both are:)

Itching for Spring!

With Jon working his hiney off through busy season, our Sundays became just about the only day Jon saw the boys and we could be together as a family. And, with me being locked inside with our new little buddy, Heavenly Father must have known I was in dire need of an out. So, on this beautiful Sunday in March we meandered over to the River Parkway and soaked in the sun and fresh air to help us through the coming weeks. AWWWWW, it was wonderful. Aren't we lucky to live in such a beautiful area?

Eli's Birth

Our sweet Eli guy made his way into the world on January 10, 2011. I was started that morning around 10 am and he arrived at 4:33 pm. I was dialated to a 4 and 90% effaced when I arrived, yet it was a little slow moving until my water was broken around 2:30 pm. From there the contractions began to come quickly. I then had my epidural about 3 pm and bippity boppity boo!

It was a beautiful experience to share with my love. There is nothing like it on earth to create a little being with your forever mate. Luckily, I also got an amazing record of Eli's birth story through my SIL's talent of photography. I am absolutely in love with what she captured. It really brings the memories right back to me. While there are a lot of pictures here, this is just a small snippet of all she took. I will cherish them forever! Thanks Amanda @ amandaabelphotography.com.

Just the three of us...
