Halloween Night

Guess who we are!
The Man in the Yellow Hat with George.
He really doesn't have a name in the books,
but in the movie they named him Ted.

Professor Wiseman with George

We dropped by to see the Princess Ballerina.

Sweet Dorothy with the train engineers.

Cereal Killer.
So fun that Grandpa and Grandma Bush dressed up!

Really, isn't this idea great?
Katie made the costumes with felt, and her
necklace with marshmallows. I loved it,
and Amoree was a perfect Pebbles.

Yes, this was the best one I could get.

Boo at the Zoo & Black Island Farm

I'm quickly learning that whenever you have huge expectations for a fun time where you pay money and get all excited for your child's reaction is the same time they will be ornery, and been way happier to have stayed at home playing ball or watching Elmo. That kind of sums up Halloween for my darling Tag boy. Didn't really love being fussed over, but he is still the cutest monkey around.

Here we are at Boo at the Zoo where he was only nice to one person. Isaac.
To everyone else he was a kind of like that monkey who ripped that lady's face off.

Woo Hoo! A smile! See how cute he is!
Picking out our pumpkins on the hay ride at Black Island Farm.

Cousin Savana and Tag.

These were so stinkin fun!

If I remember right,
he wasn't so thrilled about dad sending him down on his own.

I love that he's not afraid of animals!

Llama.

Tag's 19 month pics

Again, we are so lucky to have my talented SIL, Amanda, to do Tag's pictures. I can't look at these without crying. I think that means she did her job of capturing his sweet, active, funny little personality. Tag is getting so big. Being a mommy brings so many emotions. I love watching him grow, but it is also breaking my heart in two.

We only had the balloons for about 30 seconds before he shook them right off his wrist, and then reached towards the sky saying "uh-oh" for the next 30 minutes. I think Amanda is probably convinced to not have a boy after chasing him around the entire photo shoot. He was not an easy client!

Blessings

I have never doubted how blessed our little family is, especially with our beautiful little boy, but the past summer we did begin to wonder just where life would be taking us. Jon's internship was beginning to look like it may not turn into a full time offer, so we went through the summer with minimal hours and questioning our next move...graduate school, other jobs, insurance costs, putting our home up for sale. My wonderful husband felt very inspired with this job, and had faith that it would still be the answer for our family, but in the mean time worked hard looking for other accounting positions.

Towards the end of August, we got the answers to all of our questions in a few short days. Jon was offered a job with Morgan Stanley, which encouraged his current firm, Child, VanWagoner, & Bradshaw, to give him an offer, and he did amazing on the GMAT, which got him a comfy spot in the MACC program at Weber State. We took the offer with CVB, and accepted the position into the MACC program, since we would now have a chunk of the tuition costs covered by CVB.

The day Jon was accepted into the Master's program we went out to Lunch to celebrate.
Tag is so proud of his Daddy!
I have felt Heavenly Father's hand guiding our family since the day we were married. Yet, I still got nervous and frustrated this past summer. It was, once again, a great lesson in faith. I know my Heavenly Father is aware of our needs and he will provide.

1st Jazz Game + Worst Pics Ever

I love how spontaneous Jon can be, and how when he calls me late in the afternoon and says we're going to the Jazz game, I act really excited even though my completely non-spontaneous brain is screaming, "but I planned to unload the dishwasher and organize Tag's toys tonight! I can't go to the Jazz Game!" And that is why he is so good for me.

Here we are on October 1st attending, not only the first Jazz game of the season, but Tag's first Jazz game ever.

Look at me Tag.

Dang it.

Why oh why do I keep attempting to take these pictures by myself? So unflattering!

Tip off of their winning season!!

Tag is loving it!

Ok Sir, you've had quite enough. Head on home now.

And that completes our First Jazz game of the season. And you know? It was pretty fun, even if I didn't get to unload the dishwasher til the next morning;)

random cuteness from the last few months

This is what you get when I am a slacker and do not update forever! Lame Posts with random pictures. Enjoy!

Tag with his little buddy, Carter.
Why does he always insist on sharing this thing?

My flowers....surviving.
They were pretty much dead all summer,
so this picture makes me very happy.

Tag and Maliya dancing the night away!

Aunt Karaline's Bday party at Fat Cat's.

Shootin some hoops with Dad.

Hill Air Force Base museum.

Old friends:)

Tag, Carter, Aubrey, & Mia.

The one time I took a picture out of the 50 times this has happened.
When will I ever learn?
He is so proud.

I loved this little outfit with the shoes that never stayed on.

I saw this on a drive home one day.
21st street. That is the Ogden Temple to your right.
The reason my carpet sometimes gets peed on.

Just the three of us...
